'Up the Reds'. We have done it boys. Big thanks to Clacton United for holding Bures to a draw. Col. A. boys you deserve to be crowned champions after winning 20 matches. WELL DONE to each and everyone involved with the Reds. You have made your Manager and parents the proudest people in football . Commiseration goes out to Bures, who could go the whole season without losing a single match. A tremendous feat. C U in the C League.
Training on Saturday lads. It will be a celebration session so bring the whole family , cameras . bubbly , music , whatever you like we'll just celebrate !.

| 23/03/2008 - U18,s Paintballing Day |
| Due to not having a game over the Easter break, I decided to take the lads paintballing, (if it's good enough for Chelsea it's good enough for us). I choose to go to Paintball Extreme in Tendring. It was an early start, we had to be there by 8.30, so a few of the lads were suffering from hangovers. We soon got kitted out with all the gear and were ready for our first fight. We had all been put in the same team, "the Blues", so hopefully I wouldn't get shot too many times by the lads! My attitude to paintballing is the same as football, attack is the best form of defence, I soon learned that some of the boys didn't have the same theory as me when it comes to risking getting hit with a 200+ mph paintball. The first game, most of us were stuck in a tree line, with no where to go. I asked them to charge the enemy which were hiding behind a wall directly in front of us. They all said you go first and we'll follow, so up I got and charged like a mad man at the wall, as I got to the side of the wall I was greeted by about 8 of the other team and a hail of paintballs, when one of the marshalls finally intervened, I managed to look about and only then I realised that none of the lads had followed me, thanks lads! This is just one of my war stories from the day, Wayne being knocked backwards by a volley of paintballs to the chest, Michael being knocked sideways by one to the side of the head and Jack Gilbert running around with a stretcher over his head are some of the others. I know all the boys that turned up had a great day and I would recommend this to any other team, for a fun day out (over 12's only). This was a reward for a great season so far boys, the pay back is 3 points next Sunday against Tempest, see you all Thursday at training, Tim. |

20 Jan 08 away to Great Bradfords Reds. Meet at pitch at 1pm for 2pm kick off.
Go out of Colchester on the A120 towards Braintree. Go through Bradwell, follow A120 to roundabout and take 1st exit staying on the A120. At the next roundabout take the 4th exit onto Cressing Rd. After about 500m turn left onto Stubbs lane and turn right into Alex Hunter School. |

Due to our County Cup match against Hullbridge being suspended Sunday 9 Dec, our league match against Tempest has now been postponed until the new year and we will play Hullbridge away on the 16 Dec. |

Chelsea v Liverpool 19th December KO 7.45 pm
Dominic Mattack (Under 11 Blues) has been chosen as the Liverpool Mascot for the Carling Cup 5th round game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
For all you Sky subscibers or Liverpool (or Chelsea) fans look out for him, he will be the only Liverpool Mascot - walking out with the team Captain.

November 25th - 6 till 8:30
On the 25th of November Colchester Athletic will be taking over the Leisure World pool between 6 pm and 8:30 pm. Entry will be free of charge and exclusive to players who are signed up for the participating teams (currently U9s, U11s and U12s).
