Penultimate game of the season
By Fabio.

Wivenhoe – our penultimate game of the season.  A good outfit with some very talented players, again we would have to be at our very best as they are a dangerous side with the potential of an upset.

Kick off and we took control straight away, having a couple of chances early on.  With only 9 mins on the watch with James in possession – Tye made a very intelligent run which drew the defender, leaving a space for James to put Aidan in – great finish 0-1.

Again and again we attacked, keeping the ball well and passing neatly around their half and on 18 mins forced a corner, Jamie took and Aidan tried a bicycle kick which looked spectacular and very nearly came off it rebounded back out to Tye who picked his spot 0-2.

5 minutes later another through ball to Aidan who is in really good form right now, put it away 2 for him 0-3 to us.

Just after that a high ball into their box and Liam on the end of it (well on the rough end of it!) being grappled to the ground – penalty given although Jye wanted to take it Liam dusted himself down and put us 0-4 up at half time.

Half-time chat - just keep it tight, keep the ball, keep up the hard work.

Kick off – and a bit of a fright for Ryan – just as well he keeps focused, as a stinging shot saw him make a great save.  Although being 4-0 down they made a game of it but after a few changes, Lee moved out on the right wing with instant success and put us 5-0 up.  A few minutes later he made a great solo run and smashed it home for his second to make it 6 without reply.

Not to be out done, someone who hasn’t seen the back of the net for a while, Jamie Woodward, cool as you like after a neat through ball, chipped the keeper to make it a magnificent 7.  I think he enjoyed it so much he thought he would do it again, a great run, splitting the defence and a great finish to make it a quick fire double and a final score of 8-0.

That was a very good performance.

Lewis             brilliant could have been MoM

Lee                brilliant could have been MoM

Aidan             brilliant could have been MoM

Liam in a new position   brilliant could have been MoM

Tyler             double brilliant you get MoM very well done to you.

Keep up the hard work boys you are playing very well at the moment – train hard on Tuesday.

Fabio
