We had a difficult game today against Wivenhoe Youth Blues but with a squad of 10 and an unbeaten record I was a little optimistic about today. We started off well and both teams were playing good football but Wivenhoe unfortunately got the lucky break when a corner came off one of their players back and found the net. Our heads then dropped a little and by half time we found ourselves 2-0 down. I told the boys to keep going at half time and if we can get an early goal we can turn the game around.

During the second half we looked a lot sharper and created a few chances but Wivenhoe were the better side and made it 3-0 with a great goal from distance leaving Adham no chance. Adham pulled off a lot of superb saves and was rewarded with Man of the Match. The match finished 3-0 to Wivenhoe.

I told the boys at the end of the game that I was proud of them all with their efforts and now we can concentrate on the league. See you all Saturday.
