Due to request from Little Oakley, we switched this game and played at home. We had a squad of 8 players, Korben being away visiting Mickey Mouse. We started the game really brightly with some good passing moves, both teams playing some good football. About half way through the 1st half we found ourselves a goal down. A run through our midfield left Liam with a huge problem and no choice but to leave his man and go to the player with the ball. The ball was shifted to the unmarked player in the box and he finished well, giving Jacob no chance. The rest of the half was even, we had one great effort when Luke W put in a superb corner, Isaak met the ball perfectly, unfortunately his side foot effort just went over the top. So the 1st half finished with us 1-0 down.

I told the boys at half time that some of them were really trying but others weren't putting in as much effort and commitment. I told them to get back to our passing football.

We started the 2nd half well and the boys were again passing the ball, we seemed more up for the challenge and we created a few chances, we were definitely missing Korben up front. As much as the boys tried we couldn't find the equaliser and the final whistle went for our second defeat in a row. Man of the Match went deservedly to Liam who had a superb game at the back, as did Adam.

Next week is a League Cup game away to Colchester Villa Reds. See you all Saturday, Tim
