Directions:
Take the B1022 Maldon Road towards Maldon, go past Colchester Zoo (on your left), go past the Heckford Angel pub, Heckfordbridge (on your right), continue up the hill going past the 40 mph signs and car sales garage (on your right), continue for approx 1/4 of a mile past the car sales where you will see 3 large "SLOW" signs on the road surface and as the road forks to the left (signposted Birch, Layer and Breton) the entrance to Birch Park recreation ground is via the dirt track lane on the left immediately before this junction (literally 5-10 yards), continue down the lane and the car park is on the right about 200 yards down the lane.
